Appraisers must follow the Square Footage-Method for Calculating: ANSIZ765-2021 ("ANSI standard") when measuring, calculating and reporting the gross living area and non-gross living areas (basement, additional structures, etc.)
The ANSI standards are not law, only a voluntary guide, and are subject to periodic building or health codes establish minimum requirements for bedrooms.
